The view is worth the climb.

No More Broken Hearts was founded in September 2013 by Victoria Dupuy, who lost her husband Dean due to a sudden heart attack at age 46.  The creation of this grassroots organization was the result of Victoria’s commitment to do everything possible to help prevent other families from experiencing the tragedy of losing a loved one due to asymptomatic heart disease.

Many people are unaware that preventative heart screenings are available, and can predict heart attacks years before a tragic event occurs.  The problem is that these preventative scans are rarely recommended as a routine test for those who fall under the traditional definition of “low risk” for heart disease.

To provide education and raise awareness
that a Coronary Artery Calcium Scan can save your life. And to bring convenient and affordable heart scans to the community through our mobile heart scan bus.

Three years later No More Broken Hearts is a fast-growing, certified 501(3).c nonprofit organization dedicated to educating the community about the importance for early detection of heart disease--especially in asymptomatic individuals--to prevent heart attacks.  One of the most important prevention tools is the Coronary Artery Calcium Scan.  This simple, non-invasive scan can save your life.

To make Coronary Artery Calcium Scans easily accessible and commonly utilized—
like mammograms and colonoscopies—as a routine, preventative screening technology
so there will be no more broken hearts due to undetected, asymptomatic heart disease.

So many of us think we are doing all the right things to live a healthy lifestyle, but the truth is that no one is immune to heart disease.  No More Broken Hearts believes that every heart matters.  Not only for those who die from undiagnosed heart disease, but for the spouses, children, parents, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, friends, and co-workers who are left behind.

The view is worth the climb.

Although we are climbing the hill for change—making heart scans a routine test—we know that one day, the view—the lives saved—will be worth the climb.
